Sexual health services are provided at New Croft House in Newcastle city centre.

The staff are committed to providing free, confidential and a friendly sexual health service in a new, modern and bright city centre setting.

What services are available?

New Croft offers walk-in and appointment clinics for a wide range of sexual health needs such as sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening, contraception clinics, pregnancy testing, emergency contraception, free condoms.

How do I access New Croft

Queue and wait sessions for contraception, emergancy contraception, condoms and lube, pregnancy testing, STI testing and GUM services are available on;

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 9am to 12pm

Those attending queue and wait sessions will be seen on a first come - first served basis. The number of people that the clinic can see will vary on each day due to staff availability. If the queue and wait session is full when you arrive at the clinic you will be advised that you can either attend the next queue and wait session or can make an appointment. If you have any signs or symptoms of infection or any concerns please inform the reception staff who will arrange for you to speak in privacy to a nurse.

Appointments may also be running at the same time as queue and wait sessions. Therefore some people with pre-arranged appointments may be seen sooner than those waiting in the queue and wait sessions.

Appointments for all sexual health, contraception, STI testing, GUM and HIV services are available;

• Monday 1pm to 5pm
• Tuesday 1pm to 6:40pm
• Wednesday 8am to 9am and 1pm to 6:40pm
• Thursday 8am to 9am and 1pm to 6:40pm

How do I find the clinic?

The clinics address is:

The clinic is really easy to find:

From Mannors Metro Station: Leave the station and turn left towards Newcastle City crossing the footbridge over central motorway. Go down the spiral steps at the end of the bridge where to will see a Premier Inn hotel. At the bottom of the steps turn left and you will see the signs for New Croft - the enterence is around the right hand side of the building.

From Monument: Starting at the monument walk down towards Lloyds bank (passing Gregs on your right hand side). At the road turn left and keep walking, cross at the traffic lights (you will see market Street Police Station on your right hand side across the road) and keep walking down Market Street East. At the next set of lights cross over and you will see the clinic on the other side of the road infront of you.
